Subject: Re: pioneer blahs

We have pioneer corn yielding 110 to 130 while the Dekalb and Even the NK is 160 to 195 in the same field corn on corn.
The bean stubble or sod is a little closer, but in our area this year it is all about moisture. In north east iowa we were wet for so long and many farmers thought that they had lost much of their nitrogen so they went in and sidedressed 50 to 100# of n . In some cases all it did was make the corn 2-8 points wetter on the same hybrid. Yields are all over the board. Our bean yields were in the mid to high 40's when they are usually 50 -65. I will say that in our area, the pioneer 92m40 beans are very respectable. I am also impressed with what Nk has done with their bean lineup. They seem to work around here.
