| I'm new to the whole drone idea, so pardon my ignorance.
I hear a lot of talk about NDVI imagery. I know it is a vegetation map but what are guys doing with the data. How is it effecting management practices to net more per acre?
Secondly, I would maybe be interested in buying a drone to scout fields for current growers I work closely with. Can I legally charge for the service? And how big of a drone do I need. I talked to a drone shop today. They told me a DJI Phantom 3 would not work with a NDVI and be satisfactory if I were flying say 10,000 acres per year. They said I would need a custom build DJI S,1000 which would be $15,000-$20,000! I need a little direction if anyone has been down this path. I am a seed dealer and would be adding this to my list of services. I already do a lot of boots on the ground scouting. Thanks. | |
