| I don't know the answer to your question. Not to be a smart a$$ but why do you send the calves 24 hours ahead of sale time if it only takes 1 hr to get from your loading point to the auction?
Do you have to set up portable corral facilites and gather cattle in rough country at a remote location?
I helped a neighbor gather 140+/- pairs at his home place this morning. 2 horses, 2 - 4 wheelers and a pickup gathered the cattle starting at 7:30AM. Truck was to come at 11. Got done sorting cows and replacement heifers off at 10. Coffee and doughnut break until truck arrived at 10:30. Loaded the pot and two goosenecks. Had all the calves unloaded at the sale barn (40 miles) by 1PM. They sold by 3.
His pot of calves was unloaded and refueling when we got to town after finishing misc last minute chores to make sure cows and keeper calves were fed and watered in the corrals.
No line for us to unload in the pickup/stock trailer chute. There were 9 pots waiting in line to unload at the truck chutes while 4 trucks were unloading.
I drove my outfit was one of the goosenecks.
