IA | We have fed corn stalk bales with molasses or corn syrup from the ethanol plant and maintained excellent body condition on our cows as the majority of their feed intake during the winter months before calving. Not sure how it would work with straw because I don't have my nutrition book handy but I would think it would be relatively close to corn stalk bales. Are you going to feed the heifers anything else since they are still growing?
