cropsey, il 61731 | If you want something pretty permanent it might be slick to just downsize a current style slatted tunnel vented hog barn - slats are nice for clean up and last a long time and a deep pit gives you more flexibility with manure application. The concrete is going to be pricy no matter what, but I'm thinking to control costs if you have the time you can assemble the rest of the materials (tin, lumber, feeders, inlets, fans, gates, etc) from the used market. It's possible someone selling a smaller morton shed would provide a majority of the major building materials. Things like hoop buildings work, but I've seen the wind take it's toll on them. Also, hay bedding and running skid steer a lot to clean up may get old - besides it's really hard to break a disease cycle if you can't get things really clean and dry at some point.
