I guess you're right - I was picturing a big older WI dairy type barn with 300 head of in it over a WI winter....would have to agree with Eddie. But this may not be the case.

I believe there is something to building up a little experience and knowledge before just "getting into" cattle on a large scale. As he said, he's "never had cattle before". jmho.

It's funny how when asked a question with incomplete information, we often each fill in the information gaps from our own local past experience, maybe creating a totally different mental picture than the poster's real situation.  Good reason to alway include a location in a post or profile!
