Hi Marc, These are Gallagher step -ins. They use a very good UV resistant white plastic tubing over the steel on the tops no sign of deterioration or shorting yet. The "P" top makes them easy to remove and also slip over a hot wire without getting shocked. They have a well designed piece at the bottom also which let's them take some side load and makes them easy to push in even in hard spots. These are simple little things which make the system easier. Probably different from the older rubber topped ones. How is harvest going? Jim at Dawn
