Ripley, Ontario Canada | I sell some and I price mine cut wrapped and froze from the local butcher plant. I used to let some customers pay for processing, but our wonderful government has started basing subsidy payments off gross sales here (that is if they ever make any payments) and they don't worry about expenses, so I figured the line on my income tax for beef sales may as well be for processed beef and include the processing costs, they are expenses to get the product to market, since my customers want it in a box not walking. As for the liability, if it was government inspected at a plant, you really can't do any more. | |
