Sounds like the truck will not run until the anti freeze gets warm and expands to get up to the sensor on the tank.

Bingo, been there, done that. N-14 The motor would start and run fine for a minute or so then the computor would shut it down. Well I'd start up and try again, and again till, I guess finally the coolant warmed up and expanded enough to cover the sensor that was telling the computor that the coolant level is low. Add a little coolant and it run fine. Tightened hose clamp and it ran fine along time too.
