North west MN
A Fair amount snow and rain here also. In the same boat here this happened many years ago around here and the ground did not freeze hard enough until Thanksgiving day for the combines. I would go out before Thanksgiving with the combine in the very early morning and find the ground was froze where you made ruts the day before but where the beans had not been harvested the ground did not want to freeze. Once the gound froze hard it was nice harvesting as the header slid nice on the frozen mud. Talked to crop insurance Sounds like if you do not harvest or attempt to harvest the beans by Dec. 10 crop insurance will estimate the yield left in the field and deduct it from the guarantee but that is not what I bought insurance for. I wonder if the market knows that most of the soybeans left up here are at risk of not being harvested.
