MN | We have been struggling with getting some gilts/sows bred (boars issues) and are considering buying gilts again. Any good suppliers of good health gilts in southern MN, northwest IA or SE SD? We don't want to pay a lot over market considering the market and gambling scenario we have been experiencing for the last year. Talked to one supplier today that wanted $105 over market which was way too much for the budget. We would consider bred sows from someone getting out of the business. We have even gone as far as considering custom feeding (like everyone else in the county), but still like the independence (even when we're bleeding $$). Any ideas? | |
