Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
We'll have about 350 acres. I got about 100 planted so far. We have to wait for broccoli and soybeans to come off. We plant about 800 acres every year and pick the best 350 or so to keep for harvest. The rest is just cover. We had 490 for harvest last year and that was a little too much for this veg. farmer. I just save a load at harvest and get it cleaned. Then buy some certified stuff as well just to have some new seed. I like to plant most acres twice per year. So we can do wheat/beans, wheat/broccoli, sweet corn/beans, or sweet corn/broccoli, squash fits in there wherever you want too. I just like the flexibility. Almost any rotation makes me more money than just full season grain corn. I sure do like to run the combine in corn though....
