Subject: What type of soils do you have?

Heavier, high CEC, soils will hold the N portion of the Manure far better. If you have sand, be prepared to add additional N in the spring. Just finished harvesting an irrigated sand farm that had fall manure applied. Several repeated tests across the field proved that sidedressed N was well worth the money.
