<p>Just to give you a idea of what we used to do "here". Back before we had lazers and no cement ditches we used about 18 cfs of water and the widest we would put our leeves in was about 100 feet. Depending on what your soils are I would think on sandy loam you could set them at 50 feet and heavy ground maybe a little widder..... Are the feilds going to be lazered so all the side fall will be taken out?</p><p>As far as high to build them I wouldnt think they would have to be too big. Ours start out about three feet wide at the bace and about a foot tall. After a year or so they are only about 6 in tall. I wouldnt go much smaller then that becouse if built too small its hard to find them with the swather.</p>
