Then, from soil samples as to what is needed or a suggested nutrient package for what you want to accomplish in the future crop years can be compiled.
At that point you can then sit down with the person in charge of the hog manure, work out an application rate that will best suit your needs and compare that package to a commercial fertilizer package and come to an agreeable price.
As far as accuracy, that depends on who is doing the application. "Here", there are several commercial operations that their only business is manure application. I personally would spend the extra dollars, if accuracy is that much of a concern. For some it is...some it isn't.
Lastly.... checking with the county personnel would be prudent to make sure one is in compliance with manure plans set up. | |
