That is a common misconception. UAN is liquid, and it is a combination of Urea (and) Ammonium Nitrate. Ammonium Nitrate (dry) is not Urea. Two different animals. Both tend to be white prills, but that is where the similarity ends. Urea = 45-46% Nitrogen, Ammonium Nitrate = 33% nitrogen. Ammonium Nitrate will go "Bang" with a bit of encouragement.
