need info on farming in Noxubee County, MS.

SO you mentioned that the prior farmer couldnt raise corn and beans anymore under the pivot. so you raised cotton there. did you irrigate your cotton from that well? how did it do? i remember when I went to school down there we used to ramble over in that area and there were lots of fields that were untilled and I coulnt imagine why. then my friends from there told me that some of that dirt wasnt too good. tlhey called it the blacklands or something similar. I asked a friend today and he said he thought that those soils were formed from coastal shale and the soils were very "base". do you remeberwhat the average Ph was in that county? Brian what kind of soybean yields would you expect in that area now? is much of the land in that area irrigated? I do know Jody Jenkins Ill give him a call. thanks for your info brian!

Hey, Have we met? Im trying to place you. You know im from Brighton also. You farm some land on Oaklawn near Owen?
