Subject: Re: putting wet corn on top of dry corn

I've got 6000 bu of 18-19%, about 6' deep. I'm going to try to dry that down. The rest of my corn will probably come in around 16% so I prabably won't dry it any this fall.

Last year my corn came in around 16%+. I cooled it over the winter. Hauled it out in June. My intensions with pulling air down through the grain is to dry the top, haul it out, then dry some more. with the bin half full, you can pull some moisture out quickly given the right conditions. Last year was my first try. It takes a little planning, but has worked so far.

Waiting to try with higher moisture, but not going to happen this year.
