24% works fine.

I've done 30%, but that is in cold Minnesota, with a wooden crib 6 feet wide. And I fed out of it before spring. Could see a few ears off color but not many. I would be real scared of a wider metal round crib, don't think it would keep at that moisture in a bigger crib.

I'm a little confused by your 'without air' comment, as ear corn depends on a lot of air over several months. It just is wind powered, not electric powered. :)
