Like all businesses, mine included, need to blow some hot air once in a while to present a good image.
That seems to be about the only point I see. They will go wherever the money leads them, no more & no less.
Better yields - all seed producers will try that, tho their GMO technology - at least to this point - seems to have slowed down yield gains by concentrating on weed & insect issues - at the expense of actual better yielding potential.
Environmental stewardship - that is up to farmers, not the big company. Unless they plan to take over everyone?
Happier farmers - doesn't seem so from the comments on this and other forums?
Just a nice PR piece, worth what it cost us. Every business - again myself included - will do the same from time to time.
