Silver Shoes - 10/12/2008 20:20 Deere, with a GP planter you can stagger the rows very well. You have marking on the sprokets to change locations for different populations. I had comments from people about how accurate the thing planted being about to see rows at different angles and not even sure which direction it was planted. Not trying to promote it just sharing my experiences with it.

 

That is good to hear. It is a newer style planter? The only ones that we have seen around here are several years old and have not been to good at spacing. I've always liked the Great Plains drills though. They look really tough compared to our deere drills. Silver are you going to try for higher plant populations next year like 28-30k? These parts we plant in 30's at populations around 32K, got relatives that plant in 20's at 36K on some of their farms. Yields real well.
