Paul, how is your planter setup? Are you running row cleaners, spiked closing wheels, and seed firmers?

In my 31 year of notilling in western Ohio, I have been able to match yields with neighbors on the same soil types. This occurred after I changed planters, AC to Kinze. Before a planter change, yields were dependent on stand establishment-some years were better than others. That is not an issue now. I joke, but somewhat serious also, that if a thief wanted my wife or my planter I would tell my wife that I have enjoyed our life but bye. That is the difference a properly setup planter can make.
