But I still have some questions after reading most of the earlier posts.
Do you just grow cereal crops, or do you raise hogs /cattle too? I allways thought most farms are mixed farmes, like here in mid -europe too.
Do farmers in your area dry all their grain, or do they use different methodes for "conservating" their (feed-) grain too? When we have a wet summer, the bigger farmes apply "propion -sour" with a small auger with special injectors on their feedgrain, or just have it going thru a hammermill on then pack the meal, like you do it with chopped corn or gras.
If you're doing no -till, does that mean you seed into the stubble next spring, or do you work the ground with a cultivator or disc for straw management? | |
