Seneca Kansas 66538 | Scott, we planted both. Mostly twin row but a couple hundred acres of 30" corn because we had alot of flood corn last year which went back to corn and I was afraid of having alot of volunteer corn which wasnt a problem after all. The one thing I noticed about twin row is that we can definately bump our population up on average with it. I planted a field right next to this one in 30" at app 28,000 and it did beat the twin row (180 bu/ac) but it was also planted alot thicker. Had one other particular field of 30" that was almost taken over by cockleburs and really wished it had been in twin row. Here is a photo of how well the corn canopys at 23,000. It likes like a total mat of corn plants in the field.
