Subject: Re: Cotton: having hard time opening bolls?

we have been using a product called choice water conditioner from uap when we are using drop. In years past we have always used a silicone based surfactant, but this is suppose to be better and cheaper.

It is suppose to make the dropp work better in more adverse conditions, does not help with much anything else other then the dropp. We also was reccomended to use ams, but i have had bad luck with defoliant and ams sticking leaves and locking bolls so we left it out. On out two shot feilds we used 2 oz dropp, 1.25 direx, 5 oz finish, and 4 oz choice, then came back 5-7 days later with 24 oz prep and sufactant. been picking those feilds about 14 days after first shot.

one shot feilds we were using 2 oz dropp, 1.25 oz direx, 21 oz prep, 16 oz finish and 4 oz choice. some we used quart of finish and 1.25 oz direx, and when temps cooled off we switched the direx to def at 4 oz's.

One shot feilds we were getting in 10-14 days depending on weather. very few top bolls that would have opened did not open, there were the ones that would never open out there as well, those about thumb size.
