When I replaced mine I drove the combine on a 6\ 6 block ,( raising the machine's height) then lower the head down . Only way I could get the cyl. 's fully lowered or retraced. It made laying on the top of the feederhouse more tolerable. It's not that tough of job if you have a small electric or battery impact gun. It also a good time to check the cyl. 's spiders for cracks.
