Kindersley Sk. | Back in the day the old Czechoslovakia was quite a centre for heavy industry. Thats where WW2 Germany got some of their most useful designs for Panzers after they annexed Sudetenland in 1938. And the TOS lathe I work with was Made in CSSR (Czechoslovakia) during the Soviet era. The Skoda car company (run by Volkswagen now)is also from there. I can't speak to the quality of their bearings but is does not surprise me they make them there.
