Saronville NE
Im thinknig where the calf market is right now is a golden oppurtunity to buy cattle and put them on volunteer wheat fields and corn stalks for cheap gain. It is just like the grain market, it will come back will just take some time. Sold all our grass cattle month and half ago at 750 steers $1.17, now are 80s and low 90s, sold them at right time. The descion you guys have to make is no different than the corn market, that has tanked, have passed up oppurtunitys and wait till the next oppertunity comes along or bail now and sell. With calves you have more options, than with fat cattle. Seems to me you have a 2 week time period to sell once they are fat to sell or they get to big. JMO
