Subject: RE: 9600 feeding

The bars are in good shape. The beans are feeding in from the head great. We had a problem running wheat this summer with some bunching which would cause slugging. We checked over the auger and there were a few burrs from rocks and such. Took the angle grinder and cleaned up the edges. Not a problem any more. We updated the concave to a 10 series so it has the digital concave readout. I have it set on about 28. I will try to speed up the cylinder and then maybe tighten it down a little. In response to taking out the filler plates, are they a problem if you don't have them in corn? I have heard guys pulling them out before but I have never tried it.

Evan
