I didn't do this last year but did 3 years prior. If I remember right I used 1/10th of acre/day for 25 cow/calf fall pairs. Use no more than 2-3 rows at a time as they will trample too much rather than utilize it. Also if possible it seemed to work well for me if the cows continue to get new rows everyday or every other day PLUS all the rows they have been in, giving them more room to roam and lie down in. Might also suggest feeding the cows grain for 4-5 days before you do turn them in for first time to adjust to the corn in their diet. Its fun to watch them run down the rows so fast picking ears off, then coming back eating leaves, then lastly chew the stalks. You'll find the greener the corn plant the happier they will be and get more days than you will later when the corn is totally brown. It can work really well and cows will actually gain in body score. Good Luck !
