Ed that pic looks like about 90% of our fields. Some fields had a 50bu drop than what we had yeild checked earlier others had a 20 bu drop. The field we were shelling in was averaging in the 170 range and the wind got it and it was yielding 131 after that. Problem was the ears falling off the stalk due to the drought. We had a field that was still somewhat green and the stalks broke over at the root instead of a little ways up and those fields averaged 70. We were shelling before we got a reel and you could go about 30 ft stop go out on the head and stomp down the stalks in the auger to get to feed into the throat all day of that is tiring and you would get out only 10 acres on a good day. Week later the reel showed up but we still had to shell around 1-2 mph through the whole mess, go any faster and the head couldn't take it in fast enough because all the fluff from the stalks and leaves. Finally got done Monday though. Very disappointing on the corn crop, averaged much less we had checked earlier.
