Subject: Talk to the service manager first

In most dealerships, if you have a problem with a repair, you should go visit the service manager first. Don't act mad and threatening; just tell the man how the clutch lasted 1 hour, and ask how it could possibly have been "good" if it only made it 1 hour. (Now be honest; you didn't take that tractor home and get it stuck, right?) You didn't mention what model of tractor it was but as posted above, if it has a torque, you probably have an 06 thru 86 IH. The clutch had to be disassembled in order to get to the rear main seal if so. Anyways, sit down with the SM in person and calmly talk about it.. any reasonable dealership will work this problem out with you. You can always go up the ladder if you feel like you're getting shafted.
