Tractor should have wide undercarriage with 30" tracks especially important in a scraper application where high drawbar loads are seen. This will have without doubt overloaded the track by concentrating the load over a narrow wheel path area.

Whats the diffrence in having those same rollers on a 20" track vs a 30" track? The track beltings are made the same just one is wider. Now if the casing was cracking at the edge of the rollers I could see a problem. Like the track is trying to fold, but that is not where where having the problem. I can also tell you this track has never been overloaded. We've also talk to enough track guys over the past 2 days who have said they have never seen this or anything about the standard boggies. |
