| I operate an 150 cow calf as part of my farm and we feed them bean straw throughout the winter and spring. Have never feed more than 50% bean to alfalfa ratio, but the cattle love it. I bale them up in rounds and then just roll them out. The cattle actually prefer it and will eat it before my 100% alfalfa bales. There is no need to grind it or process it just spread it out on the ground, or drop it in a feeder. | |
