| Unless you have 1680 on both sides of those heifers, it doesn't sound like there is a problem.
The discussion on the AA site is that the gene is recessive, and currently only identified in the 1680 bloodline. If those heifers have 1680 in them, there is a risk they are carriers of the recessive gene. IF they don't, it sounds like there shouldn't be a problem unless they identify another bloodline with the recessive "curly calf" gene. | |
