My hoof trimmer had me put about a pint of liquid had soap in a garden sprayer with tetracycline powder. Has worked quite well. Haven't run a footbath in more than three years. I'm sure footbaths are good if the management is good also. For me the hand sprayer is easier and more effective.
For those who reguarly run footbaths, how many times a week do the cows go thru?
