Embarrass WI

If you really hate cows that much, get out of the business. Find something you like to do, life is too short.

If you want to help your cows hairy warts, a footbath is the best solution. Second best is a tetracycline solution sprayed on CLEAN feet in the parlor-but be aware you are playing with fire, having tetracycline flying around in the parlor. A copper sulfate spray will help some, but it won't do as much good as the tetracycline.

Back before we had a footbath, or very many hairy warts, I would tie the cows foot up and inject 2cc's of Naxcel into the foot just above the hard part. Worked like a charm, but each cow is a pretty good wrestling match(I was younger/stronger/stupider then). I know some folks have done the same thing, only used penicillin, without having milk residue problems but I have always been scared to try it.
