| Thanks for the reply. I have bought cattle at Ericson an Burwell but seem to buy most off mine at Atkinson or Bassett. Off course they dont come cheap at those barns. But you get good quality an usually pretty green. I have bought fleshy calves before but boy they might have been the most expensive cattle I bought. You dont get that quick gain like a green one. The extra dollars for a greeen one is well worth it. I am like you i want green cattle. I just looked at the midwest messenger an the big calf runs are starting for the Sandhill salebarns. The quality should be real good. Off course the barns in our area like you said dont have the runs until late November on. I am east off Newman Grove about 10 miles . The prices you mentioned are the prices i have been hearing. | |
