Agree, think it is too late for peas. I would go to cheaper feed oats to get a cover and utilize some soil nutrients to rot down and help the next crop. Rye would work, wheat would work but I like them ahead of soybeans more. Oats might be your best choice at this date. If it didn't freeze and we got some rain soybeans could make some N but late for them, too. Main thing is plant something and learn!
