North Western Alberta
I know that they say a small square bale of flax straw is equivalent to 1.5litres of Fuel oil. So, around a quart and a half, of fuel oil. Some guys have build round bale burners, that they can stick a whole round bale into, and heat thier boiler that way. Supposed to work very well. One bale every few days, to heat the house and shop. Plus, you can run radiators into your areation system, and heat the air that way as well. I think theres more of that coming in the future, due to heating costs, etc.
