Subject: IMO, the best setup for chute hydraulics is....

run off the pickup. Rich, you could do that with your bale bed hydraulics.

Two different independent vets here use Silencer chutes and they are a good rig. One vet uses the Honda pump off to the side. It's a PIA to wrassle the pump/motor in and out of the chute and off to the side. And then you gotta have a gas can, cold hydraulics to deal with, etc.

The other vet has quick coupler hyrdaulic outlets in the bumper run off his Duramax pickup. It's nice to be able to hear yourself think with an idling Duramax instead of a little Honda wrapped out to do the same job.

IMO the old manual Powder River chutes were best in their day. Now instead of getting whacked in the head walking into chute levers you just gotta watch you don't trip over hyd hoses on the ground LOL!
