Subject: moisture meters?

NC
let me start by saying, i have a Dole 400 and a Shore Sales 920. the Dole has always checked dry corn 2-2.5 points to low, checks hot corn from the dryer fine but not cool dry corn.

the 920 i bought new about 4 years ago and until this year had been pretty good, but this year it started checking hot grain 2-3 points to low, and cool dry corn 1-2 points too high. to my knowledge(limited), neither of these units allow you to re-calibrate them to match a local elevators? you have to send them back.

neither of these testers have ever been outside, always in doors.

i need one that will check hot grain, 120+ or so? most of the more expensive one like the DJ Gacs don't handle that high of temps according to the lit i have read?

i would like to have one that checks hot & cool with better accuracy..............any suggestions on another brand or how or who can fix the ones i have? thanks, jde
