Lime is lime but things to consider. Freight per ECC equivalent, what is the best deal. The pell lime is so expensive for the actual ecc that I see it as a temporary bandaid at best. I assume you are talking about the water treatment material, it is good as it is about 90-95 ecc and is usually priced according to actual aglime so the freight works better for that material.
As a notiller, I just get it applied and let nature take it on into the soil. One dry time when the soil cracks open is enough to let the soil solution with the lime down into the lower levels when it rains. My workhorse earthworms also get it moved down into the soil.
