Subject: Axial flow ?

Bourbon,Indiana

On my 1666, Standard rotor, I rebuilt the rotor, cage, cone, ears etc. Last year we had alot of green stemmed beans to harvest, and I noticed the rear rotor access plate was pulled toward the front of the machine. This was visible due to stems/MOG stuffed into the 1/8" cracks opened between the plates. A couple of the bolts were busted off, and I see several other cracks started down the sloped plates to the sides of the access plate. After 7 years with this machine in rough conditions before, it has me wondering what was the cause of this. Perhaps metal fatigue? I have not found anything else amiss, and the machine ran like a top when I finished last year. Just wonder if this is a signal of other things to come? What is your experience with this symptom?
