Important thing is to pull a tissue test on your sileage corn and see if your micro's are in balance. Any one of them can hurt yield.
Variety very important, talk to the best farmers and seed people you can find and ask their opinion. There are so many varieties.
I would put rye or ryegrass in after chopping, kill it and notill the beans, works great.
Make sure to inoculate those legumes like you do for alfalfa, just a different strain of bacteria.
Weed control and that is about it. Control those weeds!
