Loran, I visited with an equipment hauler last week. He was hauling a rental JD combine and said the rate ranges from $3.50 - $4.00 per loaded mile now that the fuel price has backed off slightly. He said he is hauling more ag equipment than constuction equipment lately. I don't know who dispatches his truck but $hauling/mile is probably going to be about the same as $diesel/gal, or slightly more for the hauling.
