Yes, you should be OK. You just need enough moisture to get them growing in the early fall. One of the biggest hassles is trying to keep weeds under control for the long time they are in the ground. With peas your herbicide choices for broadleaf weed control are very limited. I don't think storage is a problem as long as they are dry, like 12% or less, and they don't have a bunch of green weed seeds/pieces in them.
