northeastern Ohio | I'll agree with Martin. If the grass is still thick, then spray to kill the weeds. I would go with the appropriate rate to kill the weeds and not worry about the clover. You can frost seed the clover back in next spring. This would be the most economical way to go. Grass seed prices are out of sight right now. And as the others have mentioned, the litter is probably the source of the weed seed. You will need to decide if it is economical to keep using the litter and spray, or to go back to granular fertilizer at $1000 per ton. | |
