UGA says that between R2 (full bloom) and R6 (mature seed) to strongly consider applying an effective fungicide to their crop (IF they have not done so in the past 10-14 days approximate), especially if rust is in the area and/or conditions are favorable for it to spread, i.e. moving weather fronts, storms, I reckon.
