SCMN | I work in Waseca. There was frost on the roof of my garage this morning but it didn't seen to be bad. On the way home from work it was obvious that there was damage done. It seemed to be mostly the low lying areas that were effected. Some spots the leaves were all curled up and it even looked like a bunch were falling off as I could see pods from half way across the field from the pickup at 60mph. I will say though that even the beans on higher ground all seemed to turn a couple shades more towards yellow today. Some spots of corn looked a bit frosted too. I wonder how it will look tomorrow...
A frost wont help us any right now but I don't think the yields are there that this crop shows from the road anyway. | |
